Ramadan Momentum, PT Timah Shares Joy with Quran Teachers and Mosque Caretakers

BANGKA -- During the holy month of Ramadan, PT Timah Tbk once again shared happiness with the community by providing assistance to Quran teachers and mosque caretakers in Bangka Regency. This support serves as an appreciation for their important role in guiding the community and maintaining places of worship.

At the Ramadan Safari event held in Pemali, Bangka Regency, PT Timah provided assistance to Eeng, a Quran teacher in Pemali Village, and Usman, the caretaker of Al Mustaqin Mosque in Pemali Village.

The assistance was handed over directly by PT Timah President Director Restu Widiyantoro, Operations Director Handy Geniardi, and Director of Finance and Risk Management Fina Eliani during the Ramadan Safari event at the Pemali Dormitory on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

The support was given as a form of appreciation for the dedication of Quran teachers who consistently guide younger generations in learning the Quran, as well as the role of mosque caretakers who faithfully maintain the cleanliness and comfort of mosques as centers of worship and religious activities for the community.

Representatives of PT Timah’s management stated that Ramadan is a blessed month and the right moment to share happiness with the community, especially with those who have made significant contributions to the social and spiritual life of society.

One of the Quran teachers, Eeng, said that the assistance meant a great deal to her. She was touched to receive attention from PT Timah, especially during the month of Ramadan.

Eeng has served as a Quran teacher in Pemali Village for decades, teaching not only children but also mentoring religious study groups. Hundreds of children have learned religious knowledge under her guidance.

“I feel very touched by PT Timah’s concern and support for Quran teachers. Thank you, PT Timah,” she said.

Similarly, Usman, the caretaker of Al Mustaqin Mosque in Pemali Village, expressed his gratitude for the assistance from PT Timah. He has served as a mosque caretaker since 2013 and has experienced many challenges and rewards in carrying out his duties.

“There are many ups and downs as a mosque caretaker, especially when dealing with issues like theft. Maintaining cleanliness is not always easy, but I do it wholeheartedly. Thank you to PT Timah for the support, and I hope the Company can continue helping our mosque in the future,” he said. (*)
