MERANTI ISLANDS -- The Month of Service is back to celebrate PT Timah's 48th anniversary which is being held in 11 operational areas. This is no exception in Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province.
PT Timah's Month of Service activities in the Meranti Islands were held at the Nusantara Meeting Building, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands, on Saturday (29/6/2024).
The community enthusiastically took part in a series of activities to commemorate PT Timah's 48th anniversary. Among them are participating in mass circumcisions.
The series of Month of Service activities in the Meranti Islands was also attended by the Head of Rangsang Subdistrict and Tanjung Samak Village Officials as well as the Head of Wilasi Kundur.
Carrying out the mass circumcision activity was a collaboration between the medical team of PT Timah, RSBT, and also the Rangsang Community Health Center.
The Head of Rangsang Setu Subdistrict expressed his gratitude for the activities held by PT Timah in their area.
"This is a gift from ALLAH SWT, PT Timah has finally brought back this positive activity since 2019 and is now here again in 2024, hopefully in the future every year or month you can visit us by holding activities that can help the regional economy," he said.
He hopes that in the future, with PT Timah in their area, they can continue to support regional development and contribute directly to the community.
Meanwhile, the Head of Wilasi Kundur Wiyono appreciated the enthusiasm of the residents of Rangsang District who have supported PT Timah's Month of Service activities in this area.
"Thank you to all the enthusiasm of the Rangsang residents, I hope that after this circumcision the children will grow into strong men and can help regional development, continue to pray for their parents and pray for PT Timah so that it can continue to contribute to the Meranti community," he said.
Apart from mass circumcisions, PT Timah's series of Month of Service activities also carried out productive tree planting around the Nusantara Meeting Building, Rangsang District, as a symbolic planting of 48,000 trees by PT Timah in the context of PT Timah's 48th anniversary. (*)
