PT Timah's Mobile Health Unit Visits Dozens of Locations, Providing Healthcare Services to the Community

PANGKALPINANG – PT Timah’s commitment to supporting community health continues. Through its Mobile Health Unit, PT Timah offers healthcare services to residents.

This healthcare program via the Mobile Health Unit is part of the company’s social responsibility and commitment to improving public access to health services.

The initiative aims to provide quality healthcare services, particularly in areas with limited medical facilities.

From January 2024 to October, PT Timah’s Mobile Health Unit has visited 38 locations in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province, delivering free healthcare services to the community.

A total of 4,204 residents have received healthcare services from the Mobile Health Unit. This healthcare initiative involves a team of professional medical staff ready to provide examinations and treatment at no cost.

The free healthcare services include various types of care, such as basic health check-ups, general medical treatment, blood sugar and cholesterol testing, as well as health education to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Anggi Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT Timah, stated that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to supporting the health and well-being of communities around its operational areas.

"Healthcare is a basic need for the community, and the company remains committed to contributing to various sectors, including health," Anggi said.

This healthcare service not only provides treatment but also serves as a preventive measure through health education provided to the community.

In carrying out these healthcare services, PT Timah collaborates with various stakeholders.
