PT Timah's Mobile Health Unit Participates in Social and Health Services by Korem 045 Gaya, Hundreds of Residents Receive Treatment

PANGKALPINANG – PT Timah's Mobile Health Unit participated in providing healthcare services to the people of Pangkalpinang and surrounding areas through the Bakti Kesehatan program organized by Korem 045/Garuda Jaya in celebration of the 79th anniversary of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) in 2024.

The free healthcare services from PT Timah's Mobile Health Unit were offered at the Level IV Batin Tikal Hospital in Pangkalpinang on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

The presence of PT Timah's Mobile Health Unit was met with enthusiasm from the community, with 128 people taking advantage of the healthcare services provided during the event.

Brigadier General Safta Feryansyah, Commander of Korem 045/Gaya, explained that as part of the 79th anniversary of the TNI, Korem 045/Gaya organized social and health services in collaboration with various partners.

"We, alongside other TNI units including Danrem, Danlanal, Danlanud, local governments, the police, and PT Timah, offered free medical treatments, blood donations, mass circumcisions, and free meals," he said.

PT Timah's Mobile Health Unit, which has been operating since 2022, provides free healthcare services. Thousands of residents across the Bangka Belitung Islands and Riau Islands have benefited from its services.

The Mobile Health Unit, a part of PT Timah's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, is a tangible effort by the company to improve the healthcare quality of communities around its mining areas.

Additionally, PT Timah’s Mobile Health Unit brings healthcare services closer to communities and provides health education to encourage healthier living practices. (*)
