PT Timah’s Mobile Health Service Provides Free Healthcare, Delivering Tangible Benefits to the Community

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to strengthen its commitment to improving public health through its Mobile Health program, which serves various operational areas.

The Mobile Health program is a concrete step by the company to enhance healthcare services. Through this service, residents can access medical check-ups such as blood pressure screening, basic laboratory tests, and receive medications free of charge without having to travel far to healthcare facilities.

In addition to medical services, PT TIMAH also provides education on healthy lifestyles and stunting prevention.

One of the beneficiaries of the Mobile Health service, Liu Kim Phin (62), expressed that he was greatly helped by the program. He believes the service eases the burden on the community, especially for middle- to lower-income groups.

“This service is very helpful because we can receive treatment for free. Usually, going to the hospital requires expenses. Here, we can check our health directly at no cost. Hopefully, programs like this will continue and reach more areas,” he said while attending the health service in Merawang Village, Bangka Regency.

A similar sentiment was shared by Zainap (30), who experienced firsthand the convenience of the fast and friendly service provided by the Mobile Health medical team.

“The service is excellent. After the check-up, we are immediately treated by a doctor and given medication. This really helps people who have difficulty accessing healthcare. Hopefully, activities like this can be held more frequently,” she said.

Merawang Village Secretary, Desi, also expressed appreciation for the program. She noted that the presence of the Mobile Health service has a positive impact by making it easier for residents to access healthcare quickly and efficiently.

“The community is greatly helped because they can receive examination and medication at the same time. The public enthusiasm is also very high. This program is very important, especially for those who live far from access to health centers or hospitals,” she stated.
