PT Timah’s Mobile Health Service Once Again Provides Free Healthcare for West Bangka Residents

WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk once again provided free healthcare services through its Mobile Health program for communities in its operational areas. This time, the service was held in Mentok District, specifically in Dusun VII, Belo Laut Village, and Sungaibaru Sub-district, on Wednesday (September 10, 2025).

The healthcare service, centered at the Sanggar Kampus Seni in Sungaibaru Sub-district, was warmly welcomed by residents who came in large numbers to have their health checked.

One of the beneficiaries, Hj. Asiana (75), a resident of Sungaibaru, expressed her gratitude for this service.

“Alhamdulillah, I’m very happy. With this free health check-up, we can find out the condition of our bodies. I have complaints such as knee pain, gastritis, heart issues, and others. Our hope is that the Mobile Health service can come here more often. Thank you, PT Timah, may you continue to grow,” she said.

Similarly, Jamilah (46), a housewife from Sungaibaru, came for a check-up out of concern for her health as her home is located near PT Timah’s production area.

“I’m really happy with this free check-up. We can immediately learn about our health condition directly from the doctor. If possible, it should be held several times a month. I’ve been experiencing shortness of breath, coughs, and colds. With this service, we feel more at ease,” she said.

Meanwhile, Syamsudin, a resident of Dusun VII, Belo Laut Village, said the Mobile Health program was very helpful for the community, especially the elderly.

“This activity is very good, it makes it easier for us elderly people to seek treatment. If we had to go elsewhere, it would be far, especially when our bodies are unwell. The doctor told me I have uric acid, high blood pressure, and a slight cough, and I was given medication. Thank you, PT Timah,” he said.

Community leader and Chairman of the Darul Mutaqin Mosque, Ramli Isa, also appreciated PT Timah’s concern for residents.

“We are very grateful to PT Timah for responding to community concerns by providing free health check-ups. Hopefully, this activity can be carried out sustainably to support the health of residents,” he said.

The Mobile Health program is one of PT Timah’s commitments in the health sector to bring medical services closer to communities living around the company’s operational areas. (\*)
