PT Timah’s Mobile Health Service Improves Healthcare Access for Dusun I, Gemuruh Village, Hundreds of Residents Receive Treatment
KUNDUR BARAT – Access to healthcare services remains challenging for many remote island communities. To address this issue, PT Timah Tbk has once again deployed its Mobile Health Service to Dusun I, Gemuruh Village, Kundur Barat, Riau Islands.
The arrival of the Mobile Health Service was met with great enthusiasm by the residents. 104 people received free medical check-ups and treatment during the program.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, residents of Dusun and I gathered early in the morning to access the free healthcare services provided by PT Timah’s medical team. The services included medical consultations, check-ups, and treatment for those in need.
Yusri, the Head of Dusun I, emphasized the importance of this initiative for the community, especially for those with limited access to healthcare facilities.
“Many residents have to travel long distances just to receive medical care. With the Mobile Health Service, they can get immediate check-ups and treatment without leaving the village,” he stated.
He also expressed gratitude to PT Timah for bringing free healthcare services to their area.
“On behalf of Dusun I, I sincerely thank PT Timah for bringing the Mobile Health Service to our community. I hope this program continues and extends to other villages in the region,” he added.
The Mobile Health Service is part of PT Timah Tbk’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, providing free and accessible healthcare to communities across its operational areas. By bringing medical services directly to underserved communities, the program helps improve public health and well-being. (*)
