PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic Serves Residents of Tanjung Pakdan and Teluk Rubiah

BANGKA BARAT -- Through its Mobile Clinic program, PT Timah Tbk once again provided free healthcare services to communities in its operational areas. This time, the service reached residents of Tanjung Pakdan, Teluk Rubiah Village, Mentok District, West Bangka, on Friday (August 8, 2025).

From early morning, residents eagerly awaited the arrival of the Mobile Clinic. After participating in a group exercise session, many immediately took the opportunity to get free health checkups and treatment.

In addition to medical examinations, the event also included an educational session on the prevention of dengue fever, delivered by health educators from the Mentok Community Health Center.

The Head of the Mentok Community Health Center, Haryanto, appreciated PT Timah’s initiative in providing both healthcare services and public health education.

“This activity is very beneficial, especially in the health sector. It reflects the synergy between PT Timah, the community, and the government. We are ready to support and assist, including providing health data on diseases in this area,” he said.

One of the residents who received treatment from the Mobile Clinic, 65-year-old Sri Maryati, who suffers from hypertension, expressed her gratitude for being able to get an immediate checkup and medication.

“I’m very happy with the presence of the Mobile Clinic. I can get my health checked, receive medicine right away, and they even gave me some snacks,” she said with a smile.

Similarly, Julia, another resident, appreciated the service because she does not have to travel far to receive treatment.

“I can’t ride a vehicle, so this really helps. This is the kind of healthcare service we need,” she said.

Santo, a local resident, hoped the program could be held regularly.

“This is a great program. If possible, it should be done at least once a month. Health checkups are important, especially since we live near PT Timah’s production area,” he said.

Tanjung Village Head, Said Alwi, also expressed his appreciation for the Mobile Clinic, which has visited his area several times.

“In addition to the Mobile Clinic services, PT Timah also assists our residents who are sick and need help with medical expenses, including those referred outside the region. Thank you for your help and concern all this time,” he said.

The Mobile Clinic program is one of PT Timah’s commitments to supporting public health improvements while strengthening its synergy with local governments and communities in its operational areas.
