BELITUNG -- PT Timah Tbk’s Mobile Clinic continues to provide healthcare services for communities across Belitung Island, with a total of 719 residents benefiting from the program.
From January to August 2025, the Mobile Clinic has visited six locations in Belitung Regency and East Belitung Regency, offering free healthcare services.
The presence of PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic is a tangible commitment by the company to improving public health in its operational areas.
The Mobile Clinic routinely travels to villages across Belitung Island, providing medical check-ups, doctor consultations, and free medication.
The service has been warmly welcomed by residents, who feel helped by having access to healthcare facilities that reach directly into their communities.
Most recently, during National Transportation Day, PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic also provided healthcare services at Manggar Terminal. Beyond villages and hamlets, the Mobile Clinic also targets public facilities such as markets, terminals, and other community centers.
Aida (53), a Belitung resident who received healthcare services from the Mobile Clinic, said she was pleased with the free medical check-ups provided by PT Timah.
“I hope the Mobile Clinic can visit more often, especially since it’s free. This really helps reduce medical costs for people with limited means,” she said.
Similarly, Agusrama expressed gratitude for the services provided.
“The healthcare services are very good, especially since the Mobile Clinic comes directly to the community. These free check-ups are very helpful for underprivileged residents,” he said.
In addition to general check-ups, medical staff also provide health education, including information on preventing infectious diseases, maintaining a healthy diet, and the importance of regular health screenings. This initiative aims to raise awareness about maintaining good health from an early stage.
Through its Mobile Clinic program, PT Timah Tbk consistently delivers healthcare services in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province.
