In implementing its healthcare programs, PT Timah collaborates with local governments and community groups.
Mobil Sehat is a free healthcare service that reaches even the most remote areas. Since its launch in 2020, Mobil Sehat has served tens of thousands of residents. In 2024 alone, it has provided healthcare services to 5,727 residents in Bangka Belitung and the Riau Islands.
Beyond medical services, Mobil Sehat also educates the community about healthy living. Its presence is always met with enthusiasm by local residents.
As part of the MIND ID mining industry holding, PT Timah also provides financial assistance for medical treatments to help ease the burden of healthcare costs for communities around its mining areas.
Additionally, PT Timah supports the improvement of healthcare infrastructure, including providing ambulances to facilitate better access to medical services.
The company has also introduced the Kemunting program (Kegiatan Menurunkan Stunting), an initiative to reduce and prevent stunting through community education on balanced nutrition and supplementary food distribution.
In 2024, the Kemunting program will be implemented in six locations, benefiting 163 people. PT Timah distributes supplementary food packages to those in need as part of the program.
PT Timah’s healthcare initiatives align with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita vision, which includes strengthening human resource development in science, technology, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, and empowering women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, emphasized that the company’s health programs reflect its commitment to community well-being.
