SOUTH BANGKA -- PT Timah's Healthy Car visited SPA Hamlet, Rias Village, Toboali District, South Bangka Regency to provide free health services for the community at the Rias Village Hall, Tuesday (7/5/2024).
The presence of the PT Timah Healthy Car was enthusiastically welcomed by the community, as many as 125 residents took advantage of health services starting from morning until noon.
Healthy Cars are health services that are carried out in cars and toured various hamlets and villages in the company's operational areas. This is an effort to bring health services closer.
Apart from providing health services at Mobil Sehat, PT Timah also promotes the "Kemunting" program or Reducing Stunting Rates. Residents also use this socialization service. A total of 17 residents participated in consultation in this activity.
Collaborating with the Bangka Belitung Association of Breastfeeding Mothers (aimi), the Kemunting program helps the government reduce stunting rates by providing exclusive breastfeeding, increasing the number of mothers exclusively breastfeeding, helping babies receive nutrition according to WHO recommendations.
Activities carried out include breastfeeding counseling, feeding counseling for babies and children with local food, breastfeeding classes, breastfeeding socialization and IYCF.
Head of Corporate Communications at PT Timah, Anggi Siahaan, said that the free health services at the PT Timah Healthy Car are expected to bring health services closer together and improve the quality of public health.
"PT Timah's Healthy Car is one of the programs that is implemented regularly by visiting various hamlets and villages to provide health services and is accompanied by the Kemunting Program which is education about preventing and handling stunting," said Anggi.
