BANGKA -- Residents of Lumut Village, Belinyu District, Bangka Regency are enthusiastic about getting health services at the PT Timah Healthy Car which was held at the Lumut Village Office, on Thursday (5/9/2024).
Around 100 residents took advantage of free health services at PT Timah's Healthy Cars. They are willing to wait since morning to get their health checked.
PT Timah's Healthy Car is a health service provided by PT Timah to bring closer access to health services for communities around the mine.
Lumut Village Head Frenky Rickyantong Liong appreciated the presence of health services at PT Timah's Healthy Car because it was very beneficial for their community.
"This is the first time in the village that we have received free health services from the company because usually they only collaborate with the posyandu," he said.
He appreciated the health services at PT Timah's Healthy Cars, especially since the services were done well, from registration to examination.
"We realize that health is a very valuable asset, but often the cost of treatment is an obstacle for the community. This program really helps ease the burden on residents. We hope that similar programs can continue to be carried out repeatedly," he hoped.
One of the residents who used health services from PT Timah Supriyadi said he was greatly helped by the health services from PT Timah.
"I am very grateful for this Healthy Car service. This is my first experience doing a free health check. "Usually, I have to go all the way to the doctor or health center," he said.
According to him, apart from being closer to treatment, the health services from PT Timah can help them in terms of costs.
"This program is also very helpful in terms of costs. The explanation from the doctor is very clear and detailed. I hope that programs like this can continue to be held regularly, for example once every 3 months," he concluded. (*)
