These programs are designed to provide real and sustainable benefits for communities around the company's operational areas.
In 2024, PT Timah will implement several superior PPM programs that touch on various aspects, such as education, health, economics, and others.
PT Timah's Community Empowerment and Development Program is implemented in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Province, and Riau Islands Province.
In the environmental aspect of community life, PT Timah mitigates climate change by encouraging mangrove planting in the company's operational areas.
Aspects of economic independence, several programs carried out by PT Timah include supporting the development of salt and onion farming, chili plantation cultivation programs, and fisheries cultivation.
To improve the quality of human resources, through the educational aspect PT Timah implements several programs, namely the Pemali Boarding School, the Timah Teaching-Teacher Literacy Program, and the Program for Disabilities.
PT Timah's commitment to supporting environmental conservation is carried out in several programs, namely the creation of fish FADs and the creation of coral gardens. Apart from that, in terms of real income, PT Timah carries out several programs, namely squid attractors and satnet fishing.
Meanwhile, for the health aspect, PT Timah continues to continue the healthy oto and Kemunting programs to prevent, treat, and educate the public about stunting.
To support MSMEs, PT Timah also carries out several activities, namely supporting MSME capital through the PUMK program and providing training to increase MSME capacity.
