CENTRAL BANGKA -- The Community Service Month program held in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues across the Company's operational areas. After previously reaching communities in Belinyu and Sungailiat, Bangka Regency, the social initiative has now arrived in Central Bangka Regency.
PT TIMAH once again organized its Community Service Month at the Selawang Segantang Multipurpose Hall in Koba, Central Bangka Regency, on Wednesday (July 29, 2026). The event was held in collaboration with the Central Bangka Regency Government as part of the Company's 50th Anniversary celebration under the theme "Tin for the People."
The Community Service Month activities were enthusiastically welcomed by the people of Central Bangka from the very beginning of the event. Various programs, including blood donation, mass circumcision, and free health check-ups, were warmly embraced by the local community.
Central Bangka Deputy Regent Efrianda attended the event and personally observed the implementation of PT TIMAH's Community Service Month. During the event, 108 children participated in the mass circumcision program, 55 residents took part in the blood donation drive, and 135 residents received free health check-up services.
According to Efrianda, PT TIMAH's Community Service Month reflects the Company's genuine commitment to caring for the community while supporting regional development through various social and healthcare services.
"The Community Service Month activities we are holding today are tangible proof that the spirit of sharing and social responsibility continues to be part of PT TIMAH's journey. The Central Bangka Regency Government extends its highest appreciation for this commitment," said Efrianda.
He specifically praised the free health check-up services provided during the event. According to him, the program aligns with the government's efforts to expand public access to healthcare services.
"This free health check-up is one of the central government's programs, one of President Prabowo's initiatives, which has been implemented by our colleagues at PT TIMAH. We believe this is truly an outstanding program," he said.
For the community, the free health check-up service provides an opportunity to better understand their health conditions with greater ease. Meanwhile, the mass circumcision and blood donation programs serve as social initiatives that deliver direct benefits while encouraging compassion and solidarity among community members.
Efrianda also noted that the theme "Tin for the People" carried by PT TIMAH's 50th Anniversary holds significant meaning. According to him, the Company's presence is expected not only to contribute through the responsible management of natural resources but also to deliver tangible benefits that are directly felt by the community.
"With this remarkable theme, we hope that PT TIMAH Tbk will continue not only to manage natural resources responsibly but also to deliver meaningful benefits to the community through various social, educational, healthcare, economic empowerment, and environmental preservation programs," Efrianda concluded.
The continuation of the Community Service Month program in Central Bangka marks another milestone in PT TIMAH's half-century celebration. From one operational area to another, this series of activities serves as an opportunity to strengthen the Company's relationship with the community while reinforcing collaboration with local governments.
