BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk once again held a mass circumcision event as part of its 49th Anniversary Service Month. This time, the event took place in Belinyu District, Bangka Regency, on Tuesday (July 29, 2025).
A total of 122 children participated in the mass circumcision program themed "For the Red and White." Accompanied by their parents, the participants appeared enthusiastic, with many arriving early in the morning to queue.
In addition to receiving free medical services from professional healthcare workers, the children also received gift packages from PT Timah as a token of appreciation and care.
This mass circumcision program is not only about providing health services but also reflects PT Timah’s concrete efforts to ease the burden on families, particularly those facing economic challenges. For many parents, this opportunity is highly meaningful.
Medya Lestari, a resident of Bukit Tani Village, admitted to feeling nervous while accompanying her child during the circumcision. She shared that she made various preparations to help her child feel comfortable and less afraid.
"I’ve been feeling anxious since this morning, worried about my child getting circumcised. Since yesterday, I’ve been trying to prepare him mentally and calm him down so he wouldn’t be scared," she said.
Medya also expressed her appreciation to PT Timah for organizing the mass circumcision event.
"Alhamdulillah, thank you so much to PT Timah. This program is a huge help for us as parents, especially since everything is free and the service is excellent. I hope PT Timah continues to succeed and holds events like this every year," she added.
PT Timah Tbk’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, said that the mass circumcision program is a regular annual initiative held by the company to celebrate its anniversary.
"This year, PT Timah is once again conducting mass circumcisions in its operational areas.
