EAST BELITUNG -- Belitung Island residents enthusiastically took part in a series of activities for the Month of Service to welcome the 48th Anniversary which was held at the Belitung Wilasi Office in Gantung Village, East Belitung Regency, Thursday (4/6/2024).
Welcoming its 48th anniversary, PT Timah carried out a number of activities packaged in the Month of Service. This activity is routinely carried out every year to welcome the Company's Birthday. This year PT Timah is carrying the theme 'Moving Compact'.
PT Timah's Month of Service activities in Wilasi Belitung include mass circumcision and blood donation.
The month of service activities leading up to PT Timah's 48th anniversary were attended by the Regent of East Belitung, Burhanudin. Deputy Regent of East Belitung, Khairil Anwar, Chairman of the East Belitung Regency DPRD, Fezi Uktolseja Forkompinda East Belitung Regency.
The Regent of East Belitung, Burhanudin, on the sidelines of the month of service activities, wished PT Timah a happy 48th anniversary and appreciated this activity.
"Happy PT Timah's 48th anniversary this year with the theme moving together. This activity is eagerly awaited by the community, especially parents regarding mass circumcision. Allhamdullilah, all sub-districts in East Belitung are very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity," he said.
PT Timah's month of service activities, especially mass circumcisions and blood donations, were quite busy. Burhanuddin appreciated PT Timah's work in helping the community.
"We hope that PT Timah will continue to be active and do its best for the people of Bangka Belitung, especially in East Belitung," said the Regent.
Meanwhile, Yulita, a resident of Lenggang Village, Canggu Hamlet, Gantung District, the parents of the circumcision participants learned about PT Timah's mass circumcision from friends.
"I'm happy to be able to take part in circumcision activities at PT Timah, this really helps our finances. Moreover, the economy is currently difficult, if you have to circumcise, apart from the costs of circumcision, this is quite large. Thank God, here we can get gifts for our children, so the parents will be happy," he explained.
Yulita hopes that PT Timah Jaya will continue so that activities like this can be carried out every year, because many people need activities like this.
"For PT Timah, we hope that this activity will be more lively every year and more successful so that it can continue to help the community, especially in Belitung," he said.
Farhan Yudistha (10) Class 5 of SD Negeri 6 Gantung, admitted that he was happy to have been circumcised at PT Timah's 48th Anniversary Month of Service activities. Even though he cried and felt sick, he was happy. He was even willing to wake up at dawn to prepare for circumcision.
"I'm glad I've finished circumcising. I woke up at dawn this morning, showered, had breakfast, and got ready to come here," he said.
"The circumcision at PT Timah is delicious because there are lots of gifts. Thank you PT Timah and happy birthday, good luck always," he continued, smiling shyly. (*)
