JAKARTA – PT Timah Tbk won the Indonesia Most Trusted Companies award at the 2021 Indonesia Good Corporate Governance Award organized by The Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG) and SWA Magazine. This award was achieved for PT Timah Tbk's commitment and consistency in implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG).
In this award, PT Timah Tbk won the title as a trusted company based on the assessment of the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGIP).
This award was received by the Head of Marketing Division of PT Timah Tbk Yeni Wiska Aryani from IICG Chairman Gendut Suprayitno who was accompanied by Chief Editor of SWA Kemal E Gani at the Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta, Wednesday (8/12/2021).
IICG Chairman Gendut Suprayitno said this award is an appreciation for companies that have been consistent and committed to implementing GCG.
“This is an appreciation for companies that have implemented GCG based on the Corporate Governance Perception Index. In addition, it is expected to improve the quality of GCG implementation, and evaluate and assess GCG implementation," he said.
He added that aspects of the CGPI assessment include the governance structure, governance processes, and governance outcomes which are described in several indicators.
Meanwhile, SWA Media Group Chief Editor Kemal E Gani said that GCG is a research program that has been consistently implemented since 2001.
“GCG has an important role to win the trust of investors, partners and consumers. This research program has been consistently implemented since 2001. This year the theme is building company resilience within the framework of GCG,” he said.
