JAKARTA -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk has once again achieved a notable accomplishment by receiving the Best Corporate Media Impact 2026 in Increasing Production Volume through Business Diversification award at the Indonesia Corporate Media Impact Awards 2026, organized by Warta Ekonomi.
The award was received directly by Anggi Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, during the ceremony held on Wednesday, June 4, 2026.
The Indonesia Corporate Media Impact Awards 2026 recognizes companies that have successfully built effective media exposure, maintained strong corporate reputations, and strengthened stakeholder trust amid an increasingly competitive communications landscape.
Carrying the theme “Amplifying Brand Impact Through Measurable Media Presence,” the award serves as recognition for companies that have successfully positioned public communication as a strategic instrument to support business sustainability.
Muhamad Ihsan, CEO and Chief Editor of Warta Ekonomi Group, stated that corporate communication is no longer merely a channel for disseminating information but has evolved into a critical factor influencing public perception of a company.
According to Ihsan, companies that effectively manage their communications gain a competitive advantage in building reputation and maintaining public trust amid the rapid flow of digital information.
He explained that the Indonesia Corporate Media Impact Awards 2026 was based on research that combined two primary indicators: Corporate Performance and Media Monitoring. The research findings showed that 66 percent of participating companies recorded positive asset growth, while 58 percent succeeded in increasing revenue compared to the previous period.
“These findings indicate that companies with strong business fundamentals tend to have a greater ability to build relevant and impactful media exposure,” Ihsan said, as quoted by Warta Ekonomi.
Out of a total of 210 companies monitored, 197 met the assessment criteria. The evaluation process included data verification, in-depth analysis, and comprehensive assessments of both corporate performance and the effectiveness of media exposure.
“I would like to congratulate all award recipients. Our research shows that these companies have successfully created positive and measurable media impact, making them deserving of recognition for their achievements,” Ihsan said.
Meanwhile, Usman Kansong, Director General of Public Information and Communication at Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Informatics for the 2021–2024 period, emphasized that branding, reputation, and public trust are three interconnected elements that serve as essential foundations for business sustainability in the digital era.
“Branding shapes reputation, and reputation ultimately determines the level of public trust. Trust can only be built when what a company communicates is aligned with what it actually does,” Usman said.
He further emphasized the importance of consistency in managing public communications to strengthen reputation and public trust.
“That is why media monitoring is critically important. Companies must be able to read the various signals emerging in the public sphere so they can anticipate potential communication crises at an early stage,” he said.
