PT TIMAH, Together with the Bangka Belitung PKK and East Belitung PKK, Provides Free Mass Circumcision for Dozens of Children

EAST BELITUNG -- PT TIMAH Tbk, in collaboration with the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) Movement Team of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the PKK Movement Team of East Belitung Regency, organized a free mass circumcision and social service program for the community in East Belitung.

PT TIMAH's support for this initiative reflects the company's commitment to promoting public health and improving community welfare in its operational areas. A total of 57 children from low-income families participated in the mass circumcision program.

The event, which was part of the 2026 Family Welfare Movement Day (HKG PKK) commemoration, was held at the East Belitung Regency Government Auditorium on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Maisinun, First Vice Chair of the East Belitung Regency PKK Movement Team, said the program was a form of care for families in need, particularly those who faced financial challenges in providing circumcision for their children.

"This program is intended to help underprivileged families. Some children have already reached the appropriate age for circumcision, but their parents have not been able to afford the procedure. Thankfully, this program has made it possible for them, especially since it was held during the school holidays, making it more convenient for families," she said.

According to Maisinun, PT TIMAH's support played a significant role in ensuring the smooth implementation of the program, covering both operational needs and the execution of the mass circumcision.

She added that this was not the first collaboration between PT TIMAH and community organizations. Over the years, the company has consistently supported various social initiatives that provide direct benefits to local communities.

"PT TIMAH has supported not only this mass circumcision program but also many other social initiatives. Partnerships like this are essential to our collective efforts to realize Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045," she said.

Maisinun expressed her hope that all the children who participated in the program would grow into healthy, well-mannered, and righteous individuals who would make their families proud.

"We hope the children who have undergone circumcision will grow into healthy and righteous individuals. We also wish PT TIMAH continued success and growth so that our partnership can be strengthened through even more social programs that benefit the community," she said. (*)
