WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah is committed to including sustainability in the company's development plans. One of them is through the development of Green Open Space (RTH).
One of the green open spaces managed by PT Timah is Taman Tirta which is located in the Mentok Metallurgical Unit Complex, West Bangka.
PT Timah's Tirta Green Open Space is surrounded by green plants and shady trees, this beautiful atmosphere certainly makes people feel at home.
Apart from that, this green open space has children's play facilities and a reading park. It is not surprising that PT Timah's facilities are often visited both weekdays and weekends.
PT Timah's green open space is often used by residents to relax, as a place for art performances, competitions and activities of various organizations.

SDN 21 Mentok Scout Leader Melani Widiastuti admitted that she was amazed, she said that Taman Tirta is one of the child-friendly parks.n
"Very good, extraordinary, there is the only one in West Bangka. This Tirta Park is complete, apart from being safe for children, some games can be used as an outbound for children, there is a play area, a place to relax, equipped with a reading park, and these are the facilities which for us is child friendly," said Melani.
According to Melani, the children were very enthusiastic about taking part in activities in this green open space.
"The children were very enthusiastic, beyond our expectations, they were able to carry out activities, with enthusiasm, able to overcome all the obstacles they had to overcome. Through the activities here, physical training, the children's insight is that scouts are not only at school, but scouts can ith outbound," explained Melani.
Raya (7) Scout Siaga SDN 21 Mentok admitted that he enjoyed taking part in scout activities at Taman Tirta PT Timah.
"It's fun, lots of places to play, the place is nice and beautiful. So you'll feel at home here for a long time," he said
In the same vein, Raniyah Scout Penggalang admitted that she had a new experience at Taman Tirta
"It's very exciting, this is the first time doing scout activities outside of school, you can experience new insights, and you can read books at the Reading Park," he said. (*)
