NORTH SUMATRA -- The Emergency Response Group (ERG) Team of PT TIMAH Tbk continues its humanitarian mission to support disaster response efforts following floods and landslides in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh.
Joining the ESDM Disaster Response Post, the ERG PT TIMAH Tbk Team has been providing medical services and distributing basic necessities in Dusun Cempaka, Teluk Bakung Village, Tanjung Pura Subdistrict, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra.
Since early morning, members of the ERG PT TIMAH Tbk carried out sweeping and cleaning around the evacuation area, including the tents and the surroundings of the post. Scattered waste was collected and placed at temporary disposal points to keep the area hygienic and reduce health risks for evacuees on Wednesday (December 10, 2025).
Maintaining cleanliness at the post has become one of the main focuses, as a clean and comfortable environment can help reduce the psychological stress experienced by disaster-affected residents.
In addition, the ERG PT TIMAH Tbk team also delivered medical supplies to several volunteer teams providing health services in the Aceh Tamiang area. These supplies were distributed to five volunteer teams: BSI Team, ANTAM Team, Wanadri Team, GAG Nickel Team, and the IDI (Indonesian Doctors Association) Team.
Previously, the ERG PT TIMAH Tbk Team also provided emergency electricity access and a Starlink internet network to help residents stay connected with their families and facilitate disaster response efforts in Aceh Tamiang.
This support was given to help volunteers provide optimal medical assistance to residents in need.
The presence of PT TIMAH Tbk’s ERG team at the post not only helps with technical efforts but also offers moral support to both residents and volunteers. Collaboration among various parties is expected to accelerate the recovery process for communities affected by the disaster.
The Head of ERG PT TIMAH Tbk, Ali Samsuri, stated that the team continues to provide post-disaster assistance to victims across Sumatra.
“PT TIMAH Tbk’s ERG Team is still carrying out its humanitarian mission to assist disaster victims in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. PT TIMAH Tbk has also sent donations from the PT TIMAH Tbk family to help the victims,” he said.
