PT TIMAH Tbk in implementing CSR adapts the concept of sustainable development goals (TPB) or known in the world as Sustainable development goals or SDG's.
Throughout 2022, PT Timah is implementing various CSR programs in the form of Environmental Social Responsibility, Community Empowerment Program (PPM) and Micro Small Business Funding (PUMK).
The CSR programs implemented by PT Timah Tbk in 2022 include Oto Sehat or Healthy Car which provides free health services for people in operational areas. Thousands of residents have received health services through this program.
From a cultural point of view, PT Timah Tbk also carried out the Preservation of Mapur Customs and Culture as well as capacity building for Indigenous people in Air Abik Hamlet, Gunung Muda Village, Riau Silip District, Bangka Regency by building seven houses, providing batik ecoprint training and weaving training as well as assistance two units of non-machine looms.
To maintain marine ecosystems and empower fishing communities, members of the Indonesian mining holding MIND ID also carry out the Fishing Ground, Coral Garden and mangrove planting programs.
In the education sector through the Timah Mengajar program, PT Timah Tbk provides educational scholarships for communities in operational areas through the Pemali Boarding School program. In addition, PT Timah Tbk also implements Teacher Literacy and Inspirational Class programs.
To improve the quality of people's lives, in 2022 PT Timah Tbk will build 14 livable houses for economically disadvantaged communities in the company's operational areas.
Community Economy Sector, PT Timah Tbk assists MSMEs through MSME mentoring and training programs, Activating local product marketing and development centers in the district cities around the mine; Belitung BUMN House and Swiss Bell Tins Corner Pangkalpinang.
In addition, TINS ??also provides social security for fishing communities and vulnerable groups for communities in operational areas. To improve the economy of fishing communities, PT Timah Tbk also regularly provides facilities and infrastructure for fishermen such as fishing gear and outboard engines.
