EAST BELITUNG -- President Director of PT Timah Tbk Achamd Ardianto inaugurated the new office of PT Timah Tbk Belitung Production Unit in Lenggang Village, Gantung District, East Belitung Regency, Wednesday (18/1/2022).
The inauguration of this office was also attended by the Board of Directors and Commissioners of PT Timah Tbk, Assistant 1 Secretariat of the East Belitung Regency Government Sayono, Head of the East Belitung Environment Service Novis Ezwar, Dandim Representative, Representative H.AS Hanandjoedin Lanud, Danpos AL Manggar, Beltim Police Representative, Representative Kajari Beltim and Hanged community leaders.
The new Belitung Production Unit office was previously the East Belitung Region office which was later renovated, so that it was used as the Belitung Production Unit office.
This new office move is an effort to facilitate coordination, synergy, and collaboration in carrying out the company's business activities. In addition, the company also optimizes company assets in East Belitung.
"PT Timah Tbk as a member of the Indonesian MIND Mining Industry Holding has a mandate from the Government to Explore Natural Resources for Civilization, Prosperity, and Brighter Future. This mandate means that we must be involved in building community civilization to achieve prosperity," said Achmad Ardianto.
"Today we are inaugurating the new office of the Belitung Production Unit to East Belitung so that it will be closer to the company's IUP, so synergies and collaborations are expected to be more easily developed. In accordance with MIND ID's mandate, we hope that our presence can provide benefits to the community, government and stakeholders," said the President Director .
With the relocation of the Belitung Production Unit office to Lenggang Village, it is also hoped that it can provide a multiplier effect for the community's economy and build a more harmonious relationship with the community.
According to him, PT Timah Tbk is part of the community, including the people of East Belitung. He hopes that later the company can grow in harmony with the community.
"With the existence of office activities here, it is hoped that it can also provide benefits to the surrounding community, synergy and collaboration can be built more. Tin employees are also part of the East Belitung community who also have responsibility for this area," he said.
He said PT Timah Tbk is committed to supporting East Belitung Regency with the government, community and stakeholders. For this reason, Achmad Ardianto hopes that PT Timah Tbk can be supported in carrying out his duties.
"We are here representing the government and the general public in this case shareholders. We want the best for all of us, optimal results that can benefit not only the company but the government and society. This needs to be supported by all parties so that the task of managing natural resources is can be of benefit," he said.
Meanwhile, Assistant 1 to the East Belitung Regional Secretariat, Sayono, said that moving the office to Beltim was to make communication closer, so they appreciated PT Timah Tbk doing that.
Because currently the average mining production is in East Belitung, this office move will facilitate communication and coordination with the East Belitung Regency Government.
"We have to support this. In the future there will be a lot that we can do and we will both do our best for the welfare of the people of East Belitung," he said.
He added, the East Belitung Regency Government is also thinking about the economy of the post-tin community by strengthening MSMEs and other economic sectors, even though currently tin is still available.
In the future, he hopes that many programs will be synergized by the East Belitung Regency Government, so that PT Timah Tbk will always be present in the hearts of the people when post tin later.
Meanwhile, community leader Erwin said that moving PT Timah Tbk's office to Beltim was a good step, because it was a means of connecting with the people of East Belitung and the production area.
"We warmly welcome and we hope that PT Timah Tbk will continue to contribute to the people of Beltim and Gantung District," he said.
Also in the event, PT Timah Tbk handed over an ambulance for Lazismu East Belitung.
