JAKARTA -- PT Timah Tbk has won two awards in the 2022 TOP CSR Awards from Top Business Magazine. PT Timah Tbk was awarded two TOP CSR Awards 2022 awards in the Four Star Category (Star 4). In addition, the President Director of PT Timah Tbk, Achmad Ardianto won an award as Top Leader On CSR Commitment 2022. This award was received directly by the Director of Human Resources (HR) of PT Timah Tbk, Yennita at the Dian Ballroom of the Raffles Hotel Jakarta, Wednesday (30/3/2022).
The TOP CSR Awards is an award event held to encourage the improvement of the effectiveness and quality of the CSR programs of companies operating in Indonesia. The theme for the 2022 TOP CSR Awards is “The Responsible Company is a Key Strategy for Sustainable Business Growth”.
The Chairperson of the 2022 TOP CSR Awards who is also the Editor-in-Chief of Top Business Magazine, M Lutfi Handayani said, through this event, his party wanted to encourage companies in Indonesia to be more responsible for the impact of the company's business processes.
"This is the highest and largest CSR award in Indonesia and the proudest in Indonesia. This event is also considered to have succeeded in improving and maintaining an effective and quality CSR program," he said.
He said that this year, there were 850 companies participating in this competition, of which only 200 companies participated in the assessment, and only 160 companies participated in the complete assessment.
He said that the judges involved in this assessment also came from various fields, namely the Indonesian Governance Professional Association (PaGI), the Indonesian CSR Association, Corebest (CSR Consultant & Training Institute), Interdev (CSR Consultant & Training Institute), LKN (CSR Research Institute). Nawacita), PAKEM (Microfinance Development Foundation), SDP (PT Sinergi Daya Prima/GCG Consultant), SGL Management (Management and Business Consultant), and Business Performance Solutions (SKB), and the Indonesian CSR journalists association.
Chairman of the Jury Mas Achmad Daniri said there were five criteria that became the main assessment in this event, namely; The level of alignment of CSR with business strategies with a value-added approach, excellent CSR programs during the Covid-19 pandemic, Adoption of ISO 26,000 on CSR, CSR governance system policies and Formulation and business policies in achieving mutual benefit values.
"We also encourage management to innovate to change the CSR paradigm, not only to help the community but also to have an impact on stakeholders as a whole and sustainably with a value-added approach," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Corporate Communications of PT Timah Tbk Anggi Siahaan said this award encourages companies to continue to innovate and develop various sustainable CSR and CSR programs so that they can provide socio-economic impacts for the community.
"PT Timah Tbk is very committed to compiling and implementing CSR programs that are aligned with the SDGs. Various program innovations have also been carried out such as community development to encourage socio-economic development of the community based on regional potential," he said.
The awarding event for the TOP CSR Awards 2022 was attended by the Expert Staff of the Minister for Economics and Natural Resources at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sampe L Purba, and the Director-General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Sigit Reliantoro.
