PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk won the 1st Runner Up Best Practices in Sustainable Mineral Development award in the Mineral Distribution-Metallic category at the 2023 Asean Mineral Award (AMA) event which was held in Phom Phen Cambodia, Thursday (23/11/2023) evening.
This award is part of The 3 ASEAN Mineral Awards At The 9 ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Minerals. This award was received directly by the Head of the Marketing Division of PT Timah Tbk, Yenni Wiska, and the Main Director of PT Timah Industri Ria Wardhani Pawan.
The ASEAN Mineral Awards (AMA) gives awards to mining and mineral processing companies operating in the region that have made extraordinary contributions to the promotion of sustainable mineral development in terms of mining operations, mineral processing and distribution as well as the environment and social aspects in ASEAN.
This award is also a form of appreciation for the company's contribution which involves real impacts on community development, implications for ASEAN mineral supplies, human resource development, productivity, and resource efficiency, as well as concrete steps to address health, safety and environmental performance.
PT Timah Tbk is a tin mining company in Indonesia that carries out integrated tin mining by applying good mining principles or good mining practices.
