JAKARTA -- PT Timah Tbk together with the Mind ID Group were present at the peak event of Sewindu PSN: Infrastructure Forum & Edutainment Expo Sewindu National Strategic Projects (PSN) which was held at Kota Kasablanka Mall on Wednesday-Saturday (13-16/7/2023).
This activity is a means to increase insight into the development of infrastructure development included in the National Strategic Project (PSN) over the last eight years.
In this activity, BUMN Holding Mining Industry MIND ID exhibited a showcase of several projects currently being carried out by members of the MIND ID Group, namely Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) by PT Borneo Alumina Indonesia together with PT ANTAM Tbk and INALUM, Single Line Copper Smelter by PT Freeport Indonesia , PLTU Sumsel-8 by PT Bukit Asam Tbk, East Halmahera Ferronickel Smelter (P3FH) by PT ANTAM Tbk and Top Submerge Lance (TSL) Ausmelt Furnace by PT TIMAH Tbk.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Deputy VI of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy Airlangga Hartanto, Minister of ATR/BPN Marshal TNI (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto and Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo also attended the opening of the Infrastructure Forum & Edutainment Expo.
President Joko Widodo when opening the Infrastructure Forum and Edutainment Expo said that over the last eight years, the government had completed 161 PSNs with the achievement of absorbing a workforce of 11 million people.
"The most important thing is to increase our competitiveness," said President Joko Widodo.
At the Sewindu PSN Infrastructure Forum and Edutainment Expo, PT Timah Tbk presented Tin Ball and Tin Shot as products on display alongside other MIND ID Group mining products.
One of the visitors to the MIND ID Group booth, referring to Bogor Agricultural Institute students, Yunus, said that he had often seen finished products made from tin, but this was the first time he had seen the form of the basic material.
“The area where I live is not in the mining area, so you could say that mining is still very unfamiliar. "After looking at it, it turned out that it was difficult to distinguish the types of mining materials because they looked similar to each other," said Yunus.
Yunus added that he also often uses processed tin products to assemble electronic devices.
"I often buy processed tin for electronic purposes at home, such as assembling sound systems and repairing electronic equipment," he added.
On this occasion, PT Timah Tbk also explained the downstream carried out by the company and presented the TSL Ausmelt Furnace Project in the form of a video that could be watched by visitors at the Downstream Virtual Experience vehicle at the MIND ID booth. (*)
