WEST BANGKA -- Scouts from SD IT and SMP IT Bina Insan Cendikia Mentok West Bangka were selected to represent the Bangka Belitung Archipelago Province in the Fifth National Ukhuwah Camp (KEMNAS). For this reason, PT Timah Tbk provided accommodation support for the Bangka Belitung contingent at the KEMNAS event, Monday (13/2/2023).
The Bangka Belitung contingent consisting of 32 students will attend a camp with the Integrated Islamic School Network Community Unit (SAKO JSIT) at the Cibubur Camping Ground, Jakarta, from 12-18 February 2023
The Head of the Contingent, Ikhsan Taufik, said that SDIT and SMPIT Bina Insan Cendikia, Mentok, West Bangka, were appointed to represent Babylon in the agenda carried out by the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT).
"The Integrated Islamic School Network for each Province sent 32 participants to go to Cibubur, Jakarta," said Ichsan, who is also Deputy Head of Student Affairs & Main Advisor of BIC scouts.
Ikhsan said SD IT and SMP IT Bina Insan Cendikia were chosen to represent Bangka Belitung because they were assessed from an independent level. This is because there are not many networks of Integrated Islamic Schools in Bangka Belitung that are independent.
"Only SD IT and SMPIT in West Bangka are at the independent level, apart from that there were 8 participants from Belitung who took part in the activity," he explained.
"We express our deepest gratitude to PT Timah for their participation and assistance. With this assistance we feel helped and made it easy for us to travel to the National Camp in Cibubur later," he continued.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Bina Insan Cendikia Foundation Farouk Yohansyah said that apart from assistance for the National Camping, PT Timah often helps support education in fulfilling teaching and learning at schools.
"PT Timah in the past two years, apart from today's departure fund, has also provided financing for graduation clothes, laptop assistance, and provided use in the Majapahit building facilities for graduation," he said.
He appreciated PT Timah's concern for the world of education which has supported education.
