PT Timah Tbk Supports the Activities of the Central Bangka Regency Government Holds Free Mudik

CENTRAL BANGKA - The Central Bangka Regency Government in collaboration with PT Timah Tbk is organizing a free homecoming for Central Bangka residents who wish to return to their hometown on Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah.

This free homecoming program is an effort by PT Timah Tbk together with the Central Bangka Regency Government to help Central Bangka people who want to go home and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families.

"In the midst of post-Covid economic recovery conditions, we are thinking about how to help the community by providing a touch that can lighten their burden, so they can gather with their families," said the Regent of Central Bangka. Housing, Settlement and Transportation Service (DIPERKIMHUB), Fani Hendra Saputra.

For this reason, his party cooperates with PT Timah Tbk to realize this free homecoming program.

"Alhamdulillah, in a very short time, PT Timah responded quickly to this program. We really appreciate the quick steps taken by corporations to help the people of Bangka Belitung," he said.

He said, the community was enthusiastic enough to take part in this free homecoming program, and there were even residents outside Central Bangka Regency who wanted to take part in this activity.

“For now there are around two hundred travelers who have registered. Seeing the public interest like this, according to our leadership's directions, people who do not yet have a Central Bangka KTP can show a certificate of domicile in Central Bangka Regency. ," he says.

He said the registration process had been going on for about two weeks with the help of transportation volunteers in Central Bangka, namely by opening several posts such as the Koba City Roundabout, Sungai Selan, Pangkalan Baru and Lubuk Besar.

"Alhamdullilah, those who are interested in this program are not only from Central Bangka Regency itself, but there are also residents from other districts. The majority of these travelers head to the Port of Tanjung Api – Api," he said.

According to him, the free homecoming program is also an effort to accelerate economic recovery.

"We see that BUMN also have the same program, so we hope that there will be cooperation between the Government and BUMN, and thank God the support is extraordinary. In addition, we also use the existing fleet to transport travelers to Mentok Port, Pangkalbalam Harbor and also Depati Amir Airport," he said.

"We are actually following this program from the direction of the President, namely how do we help the community to suppress inflation, the economy, and most importantly service to the community," he said. (*)
