PT Timah Tbk Supports SSB Timah Muntok to Win Fun Foot Ball

WEST BANGKA -- To support the development of early childhood football in West Bangka, PT Timah Tbk supports and fosters the Timah Muntok FC Football School (SSB).

SSB Timah Muntok FC made another achievement by winning the U-12 Fun Foot Ball championship which was held by the West Bangka Football Association (B2FAS), Tuesday (21/3/2023)

In the Final of the U-12 Fun Foot Ball Championship, SSB Team Timah Muntok FC managed to win 2 - 0 over SSB Air Bulin Kelapa Team. This victory was also followed by the athlete's success in winning the Best Top Score award, as well as being the Best Goalkeeper in the Championship.

Kevin (11), a striker, said that he is quite happy and obsessed with becoming a national football athlete, his obsession is supported by his parents who are also football athletes.

Aris Sofian, who was crowned the top scorer by scoring four goals in the championship, said he was proud of his achievement and at the same time led his team to lift the championship trophy.

"Very happy to be the top scorer and win the championship. This is thanks to the guidance of coaches, coaches, parents, and PT Timah. The desire to become the best player has been achieved," said Grade 6 student MIS Al Islah Puput.

While the Best Goalkeeper Naurzah is a grade 5 student at SDN 22 Muntok admitted that apart from the support from PT Timah, the coach, his parents also really support the child's achievement in catching the round skin.

"In addition to PT Timah's support, coaches, parents support, parents support by buying shoes, and gloves. Meanwhile, PT Timah provides a place to practice, and drink water," said Windra's son who is also a soccer goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, SSB Early Childhood coach Timah Muntok FC Ariansyah said the success of his team in winning in addition to being disciplined was also thanks to PT Timah's support.

"Thank God the children won 1st place. This success is the result of their hard work in understanding the 3 T's, namely Teknik (Technique), Tekun (Diligence), and Taktik (Tactics). PT Timah has provided support, in the form of facilities and infrastructure such as a place to practice, balls, costumes, and many more," he said.

He hopes that his team will not be complacent and PT Timah will continue to support PT Timah's young athletes.

"After this, it is hoped that the children will remain enthusiastic, and diligent and that PT Timah will continue to support the achievements of these Timah Muda athletes," hoped Ari.

Adi Gani, the chief organizer of the U-12 Fun Foot Ball activity, said the championship was held to foster and find young athletes in West Bangka football.

"This championship is to foster early childhood, as well as looking for young athletes in the field of football so that they can provide achievements for the sport of West Bangka football. We as organizers hope that all parties, including PT Timah, will continue to support these young athletes so they can excel," said Adi Gani. (*)
