KARIMUN -- As part of its commitment to improving public health, especially among children, PT TIMAH Tbk has carried out stunting prevention education activities along with the distribution of nutritious food supplements to the community in Pamak Subdistrict, Tebing District, Karimun Regency.
In addition to the educational efforts, PT TIMAH Tbk also distributed supplemental food to dozens of children experiencing stunting. This initiative is expected to help meet their daily nutritional needs while also supporting the government’s efforts to reduce stunting rates.
Through the Kemunting Program (Movement to Reduce Stunting), PT TIMAH Tbk continuously provides education on stunting prevention and treatment in the company’s operational areas.
Alongside the stunting education, PT TIMAH Tbk also provided free healthcare services through its Mobil Sehat (Health Van) for residents of Pamak Subdistrict.
During the educational session, the company’s doctor emphasized the importance of proper nutrition, a balanced diet, and a healthy environment in supporting children's growth and development.
Pamak Subdistrict Head, Jahid, expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s support in providing health services to the community, including both stunting education and the Health Van.
“Thank you to PT Timah for organizing this social initiative through free health check-ups with the Health Van and stunting education. This is very beneficial for the community to achieve better health and well-being,” he said.
PT Timah’s stunting intervention program is also aligned with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita vision, which includes strengthening human resource development, science, technology, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, and the empowerment of women, youth, and people with disabilities.
Through this program, PT TIMAH Tbk hopes to make a tangible contribution to accelerating stunting reduction and helping create the Golden Generation 2045.
