WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk supported the bonsai and aquascape exhibition organized by the Metallurgical Bonsai Community which was held at Wisma Sriwijaya last December 16-18.
The Aquascape and Bonsai exhibition is an effort to display bonsai for bonsai and aquascape lovers but also as an effort to drive the community's economy for business actors engaged in this sector.
Chair of the Executive Committee Irwan said the Metallurgical Bonsai Community displayed 120 bonsai, consisting of plants endemic to Bangka and also outside the region.
"There were 120 bonsai from friends, we created a Metallurgical Bonsai Community so that the goal is more focused and this exhibition is to generate passion and this is the first time at the Metallurgical Unit," said Irwan.
According to Irwan, this activity was supported by PT Timah Tbk. It also supported this activity by facilitating the location of the exhibition.
"On behalf of friends who love bonsai and aquascape, we would like to thank the management of PT Timah for providing facilities for the exhibition and IKT Muntok for organizing this activity," he said.
One of the exhibitors, Meidiar, said that through the Bonsai and Aquascape exhibitions, it is hoped that there will be more and more bonsai lovers and it will have an economic impact on sellers.
"Hopefully, through this exhibition, more and more people will be interested in caring for bonsai, thereby having an economic impact for Bonsai and Aquascape sellers," he hoped.
Visitors to Bonsai Kopdi Saragih admitted that the bonsai exhibition at the Sriwijaya Building this time made them look for philosophies regarding these beautiful mini plants.
"I was looking for a lot of bonsai philosophy. So I just found out today that bill is a pot, sai is that plant. So the bonsai is a potted plant," said Kopdi.
