PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk once again demonstrated its commitment to being present and beneficial to the community through social programs during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri.
During its recent Safari Ramadan activities, PT TIMAH provided assistance to 35 mosque caretakers (marbots) and Quran teachers across its operational areas. This support serves as a form of appreciation for their dedication and role in the social and religious life of the community.
The assistance was given to Quran teachers and mosque caretakers who have contributed to guiding the community and maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of places of worship.
The recipients warmly welcomed the support from PT TIMAH. They expressed gratitude and hope that such initiatives will continue in the future.
Aizul Putra, a caretaker of Istiqomah Mosque in Simpang MD, Gadung Village, South Bangka Regency, shared that he was touched and surprised to be among the recipients.
“I’m very happy and surprised when I was informed by the neighborhood head. I didn’t expect to receive this assistance, and I’m truly grateful,” he said.
Similarly, Jamilah, a Quran teacher at TPA Darul Muttaqim Mosque in West Bangka, expressed her happiness and appreciation for the attention given by PT TIMAH through the Safari Ramadan program.
“This Safari Ramadan activity is very meaningful for us. In addition to breaking the fast together, we also received recognition and appreciation as Quran teachers. This brings us great joy,” she said.
According to Jamilah, PT TIMAH’s contributions have been widely felt by the community. In addition to support for Quran teachers, the company often provides other forms of social assistance to residents.
“I have also received basic food assistance from PT TIMAH. Thank you very much, and we hope this kind of support will continue,” she added.
In addition to supporting Quran teachers and mosque caretakers, PT TIMAH also carried out various social initiatives during Ramadan, including donations for orphans, distribution of basic necessities, and other religious programs.
