KARIMUN -- As part of efforts to instill awareness of fire hazards from an early age, the Rescue and Firefighting (Damkar) Team of PT TIMAH Tbk Kundur Area provided education and simulations on fire prevention and response to students of Stania Madani Early Childhood Education (PAUD).
The activity was held at the ceremonial field of PT TIMAH Tbk Division Area Kundur on Thursday (January 29, 2026), and took place in a lively and cheerful atmosphere, with strong enthusiasm from the young participants.
The Head of PAUD Stania Madani Kundur, Andi Putri Dwi Aprianti, expressed her appreciation to PT TIMAH Tbk for its support of the various educational programs conducted by the school.
“This is one of our flagship programs that we regularly carry out every year for our students, in addition to several other educational activities. Previously, we also held an overnight faith-building activity at Al Inayah Mosque in the PT TIMAH Tbk complex to commemorate Isra Mi’raj of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Alhamdulillah, all of these activities ran smoothly thanks to the support of PT TIMAH Tbk,” she said.
Putri explained that the activity aims to introduce children to the potential dangers of fire and teach them simple steps to prevent and respond to fire incidents.
“Every year, we provide an understanding of fire hazards, including introducing the equipment used for fire prevention. This way, from an early age, children already have basic knowledge and awareness of the importance of safety,” she explained.
According to Putri, the hands-on education delivered through simulations helped the children understand the material more easily. She observed that the children were very enthusiastic and enjoyed every part of the activity.

Meanwhile, one of the instructors, Edy, stated that providing fire safety education to young children is a highly positive and beneficial initiative.
“Children have a great sense of curiosity. By introducing them to firefighting equipment, how it works, and its functions, they gain new experiences and insights. Previously, they might have only seen these tools in books or on television, but today they can see and experience them firsthand,” he said.
He added that direct involvement in the activities made the children appear cheerful and excited, while also creating a valuable experience they will remember into adulthood. (*)
