WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk has realized the desire of the youth in Bakit Village, Parittiga District, West Bangka Regency to have a futsal field. To be able to support community sports activities.
For this reason, PT Timah bk handed over assistance to the Bakit Village Karang Taruna to support the construction of a futsal field, Wednesday (8/3/2023).
The head of the Bakit Village Karang Taruna sports section, Erwandi, said that the construction of the futsal field would support the development of sports and youth activities.
"Our hope is with the construction of this futsal field. Sports for youth are growing and there are activities every afternoon. Later we can also hold tournaments, as well as increase the income of youth organizations," explained Erwandi.
In the same vein, the Secretary for the construction of the village futsal field, Bakit Tomi, hopes that the existence of the futsal field can channel the village youth's interest in playing futsal.
"So far, the youth of Bakit Village does not have a futsal field when competing on a football field. Meanwhile, youth interest is quite high and there are even village athletes representing the sub-district who often take part in various tournaments," he explained.
Meanwhile, Bakit Village Head Ahmad Amsyir expressed his appreciation for the assistance to build a futsal field from PT Timah Tbk. According to him, it is very useful for youth in developing sports.
"Construction of this futsal field is very beneficial for fostering the younger generation in developing an interest in sports in the village. So that their talents can be channeled, especially futsal sports lovers," he said. (*)
