KARIMUN -- Agusri (50) was unable to hold back his emotion and joy when he received a Livable Home (RTLH) from PT Timah Tbk. The dreams of the residents of Hamlet IV, Kundur Village, West Kundur District, Karimun Regency have finally come true after their house was renovated by PT Timah Tbk.
He and his family are relieved, because now they can live at home more comfortably. Agusri has never stopped being grateful after receiving a livable house.
"Thank God, now the house has been renovated by PT Timah Tbk, so it feels safer and more comfortable for me and my wife to live in than before," explained Agusri.
He said they never thought that PT Timah Tbk would renovate their house. They have wanted to repair their house for a long time, but they have been constrained by costs.
"The desire to renovate a house has been around for a long time, more than four years ago, but what is the cost of renovating a house, which is not small, especially since materials are now expensive," he said.
As a casual worker, his income is only enough to meet his daily needs. So they have to postpone the desire to repair the house and survive with makeshift conditions.
"Never mind renovating the house, my job is only odd jobs and an erratic income is sometimes only enough to live on a daily basis," he said.
He never stopped appreciating PT Timah Tbk for helping them and their families to have a decent place to live.
"I am very grateful to PT Timah for the assistance that has been given to me and my family. Hopefully PT Timah will continue to thrive and be more successful," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Kundur Village Marhalim said that the assistance for Livable Houses for its residents was right on target. The reason is, Agusri really needs help because he is economically disadvantaged.
"I represent the people of Kundur Village, in particular Mr. Agusri, thank PT Timah for the assistance with renovating this house. Hopefully in the future PT Timah can progress and develop," he said.
In the same vein, the Head of West Kundur Sub-District, Khaidir appreciates PT Timah Tbk, which continues to distribute aid to residents in West Kundur District and the people of Karimun Regency in general.
"Hopefully the contribution from PT Timah can help distribute development which is being promoted by the government," he said.
