WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk is helping the West Bangka Regency Government in dealing with fires that occurred due to the prolonged dry season due to the impact of El Nino.
PT Timah Tbk collaborated with the Central Bangka Fire Brigade Team to extinguish forest, land, and house fires.
Head of the West Bangka Fire Department and Satpol PP Sidharta Gautama said that his party and PT Timah Tbk have extinguished hundreds of fires caused by community negligence.
According to Sidartha, he relied on two fire trucks from PT Timah and the West Bangka Regency Government to extinguish the fire and was assisted by other institutions and the community.
"So far, we only need two fire engines from PT Timah and the West Bangka Regional Government to put out fires. PT Timah Tbk is also very responsive and responsive in helping to tackle fires," he said.
In the same vein, West Bangka Regency Government Head of Fire and Rescue, Zulkarnaen, said that PT Timah Tbk is their partner in handling fires.
"PT Timah and its Fire Fighting Team are very good at working together to tackle fires. They are our partners in the field," he said. (*)
