PANGKALPINANG — PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in its operational areas. Through the Micro and Small Business Funding Program (PUMK), PT TIMAH Tbk consistently supports the advancement of MSMEs.
This time, 23 MSMEs received production equipment tailored to their respective business needs as an effort to promote independence, increase capacity, and strengthen the sustainability of community businesses.
This assistance is part of PT TIMAH Tbk’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, which consistently supports the growth of the local economy. By providing production equipment, PT TIMAH Tbk hopes that MSME actors can increase productivity, improve product quality, and expand their market reach.
PT TIMAH Tbk’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that support for MSMEs is one of the Company’s commitments to driving the community’s economy.
“MSMEs are the backbone of the community’s economy. By providing the right production tools, the Company aims to help them level up and become more empowered in developing their businesses,” he said.
Various types of production equipment were provided according to the needs of each MSME, including freezers, ovens, continuous sealers and household vacuum machines, dough mixers, corn shellers, sewing machines, and more.
One of the MSMEs receiving assistance is Asri Rusip, a traditional Bangka culinary business. The owner, Asriyani, said that the support from PT TIMAH Tbk helps her increase production capacity and maintain product quality.
“Alhamdulillah, I recently received a refrigerator from PT TIMAH Tbk. My old refrigerator was no longer cold, making it difficult to store rusip in larger quantities. With this new refrigerator, I can store more stock and maintain product quality,” said Asri.
With this support from PT TIMAH Tbk, Asri hopes her production can continue to grow so she can meet the demand from souvenir shops, resellers, and loyal customers.
“I am very grateful for this assistance from PT TIMAH. This support allows me to store more rusip stock, especially since the refrigerator is bigger,” she added.
Similarly, Afriani Siska, owner of the chicken processing business CV Karima Amanah Sejahtera, expressed her gratitude for receiving a steam machine from PT TIMAH Tbk, which greatly facilitates their operations.
The machine will significantly support the operational activities of her chicken processing business, particularly in maintaining the cleanliness of chicken crates and operational vehicles.
“Alhamdulillah, with this steam machine, our employees' work has become faster and cleaner. Cleanliness is very important for us. Chicken crates and transport vehicles must always be clean every time we collect supplies from distributors,” she said.
Through this program, MSME actors in PT TIMAH Tbk’s operational areas are expected to become more independent, competitive, and positively contribute to improving the economic well-being of their families and surrounding communities.
