KUNDUR -- PT TIMAH Tbk once again demonstrated its social responsibility by providing medical expense assistance to Syamsul Bahri (68), a resident of Pamak Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency.
The assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk was given to help ease the burden of medical costs resulting from an accident experienced by Syamsul Bahri. At present, Syamsul is able to walk with the help of an assistive device but is still unable to carry out activities for extended periods.
Syamsul Bahri suffered an accident that caused a deformity in the bones of his left leg. Based on medical diagnosis, this condition has led to limited mobility.
Syamsul Bahri’s wife, Diana Triani, explained that her husband had undergone surgery and still requires ongoing treatment. The condition of his left leg, which involves bone complications, had even shown signs of infection, requiring regular medical monitoring.
“Once a month, my husband has to go for a medical check-up in Batam. Traveling there certainly requires expenses, not to mention our daily household needs,” Diana said.
She added that the family’s economic condition has also been affected because their child was laid off from work, resulting in limited income that is now used solely to meet basic daily needs.
Under these circumstances, the medical assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk has been extremely meaningful for the family. The funds will be used to support medical treatment as well as routine check-up costs in Batam.
“This assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk is something we truly need. Thank God, it has greatly helped ease our burden,” Diana expressed.
