PT TIMAH Tbk Provides Free Healthcare Services, Supports Local Economy at Bozem Tourism Area, West Bangka

WEST BANGKA — After providing free healthcare services to residents of Sungai Baru Village, Mentok, on Thursday (October 23, 2025), PT TIMAH Tbk’s Mobil Sehat (Healthy Mobile Clinic) returned to greet the community at the Bozem tourism area, Mentok, West Bangka Regency.

The presence of PT TIMAH Tbk’s Mobil Sehat at Bozem coincided with an MSME Bazaar organized by the Karang Tarunayouth organization and the Tanjung Village Government, West Bangka Regency, on Friday (October 24, 2025).

The Mobil Sehat program was warmly welcomed by the community. Since early morning, residents eagerly came to get free health checkups.

PT TIMAH Tbk’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that the Mobil Sehat initiative is part of the company’s efforts to improve public health quality. The program’s timing alongside the MSME Bazaar is also expected to strengthen the local small business sector.

“PT TIMAH Tbk continues to strive to improve the community’s health quality, one of which is through the Mobil Sehatprogram. We don’t only visit hamlets and villages but also go to tourist areas and public facilities,” said Anggi.

One resident of Kampung Senanghati, Sumiyanto (64), expressed his gratitude for the free healthcare service provided by PT TIMAH’s Mobil Sehat.

“The service is complete — they check our blood pressure and blood sugar, allow us to consult with doctors, and provide medicine. Everything is free and satisfying. We hope this program can be held regularly, at least once a month, because it really helps small communities like ours,” he said.

Similarly, Mahawati (63), a resident of Jalan Raya Peltim Mentok, said it was her first time using the service.

“After finishing my morning exercise, I joined the health check. Thank God, the service was excellent, and PT TIMAH truly blends in with the community,” she said.

Meanwhile, Hj. Sauriyah (69), an MSME entrepreneur from Tanjung Village who was trading at the bazaar, also benefited from the Mobil Sehat’s presence.

“I happened to be selling at the bazaar and saw there was free medical treatment. I joined because I often have joint pain. Thank God, I got medicine and it was all free. May PT TIMAH always be blessed,” she said gratefully.

The Head of the Tanjung Village MSME Bazaar Committee, Aldi Septian, stated that the presence of PT TIMAH’s Mobil Sehat had a positive impact on both the bazaar and the local economy.

“This bazaar was organized by Karang Taruna and the Tanjung Village Government. The presence of PT TIMAH’s Mobil Sehat became an attraction for visitors. Besides helping with residents’ health, it also increased visitor numbers at the bazaar, thereby boosting MSME activity,” he explained.

Through the Mobil Sehat program, PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving public health in its operational areas. Beyond providing free medical services, the program also helps stimulate the local economy through synergy with community events such as bazaars and tourism activities. (*)
