KUNDUR -- PT Timah Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to public health. As part of its 49th Anniversary Bakti Month, PT Timah provided free medical check-ups through its Mobile Clinic at the Wisma Timah area in Kundur on Saturday (July 12, 2025).
The Mobile Clinic initiative is part of PT Timah’s anniversary celebrations under the theme "Untuk Merah Putih" (For the Red and White).
Despite the rain, community enthusiasm remained high, with dozens of residents showing up to receive medical services.
One of the beneficiaries, Endarti (50), said she was grateful for the program.
"I had my right knee checked because it’s been painful for the past week. The doctor said it’s just a sprain—thankfully, nothing serious. Programs like this really help us. I hope PT Timah continues to thrive and receives abundant blessings. Hopefully, they can hold more events like this in the future,” she said.
PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic is staffed with professional medical personnel, including Dr. Taufan, who provided direct care to the community.
"Today, we examined around 40 patients. Most of them have hypertension, high blood sugar, and high cholesterol. These conditions are closely related to the local diet, which tends to be salty. That's why health education is so important—to raise awareness among the community," Dr. Taufan explained.
He also expressed hope that such programs would continue regularly so that people could monitor their health more consistently.
"I hope PT Timah continues to grow and bring positive impact to society. For the community, please maintain your health through regular physical activity, a balanced diet, and routine check-ups," he advised.
Meanwhile, PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that the company’s 49th Anniversary activities are being held across all operational areas, including Riau Islands Province, Riau Province, and Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
"Our 49th Anniversary events include various social activities like the Mobile Clinic, sports events, and wellness weeks across the company’s operational regions," Anggi said.
Through the Bakti Month initiative, PT Timah not only commemorates its anniversary but also reinforces its role as a socially responsible company committed to the health and well-being of communities in its operational areas.
