PT TIMAH Tbk Provides Development Assistance to Dozens of Cooperatives in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering the community’s economy through the distribution of development assistance to dozens of cooperatives in its operational areas.

The assistance was handed over directly by the President Director of PT TIMAH Tbk, Restu Widiyantoro, together with the Acting Head of the Provincial Office of Cooperatives and SMEs of Bangka Belitung, Ari Primajaya, during the inauguration of PT TIMAH Tbk’s Cooperative Service Office on Saturday (November 29, 2025).

This cooperative development assistance reflects the company’s concrete support in strengthening cooperative governance and capacity, enabling cooperatives to become strategic partners of PT TIMAH Tbk in driving the local economy.

The cooperative development program is part of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiative to encourage independence and reinforce community-based economic growth. The cooperatives receiving assistance operate in various sectors, including mining cooperatives, fishermen’s cooperatives, employee cooperatives, and village cooperatives within the company’s operational areas.

In his remarks, President Director Restu Widiyantoro stated that PT TIMAH Tbk is committed to involving cooperatives in the company’s business processes as part of its mission to realize “Tin for the People.” He hopes that more cooperatives will partner with PT TIMAH Tbk and that this support will help improve community welfare.

The Acting Head of the Provincial Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, Ari Primajaya, expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s commitment to strengthening cooperatives as strategic partners. The program is expected to further empower cooperatives and enhance their contribution to the regional economy.
