BELITUNG TIMUR - PT Timah Tbk participated in and supported the Grand Reunion of the STM Stannia Alumni Association, Manggar District, East Belitung Regency (Beltim).
This reunion was also attended by the Regent of Beltim Burhanudin and Deputy Regent of Beltim Khairil Anwar, representatives of PT Timah Tbk and STM Stannia Manggar teachers in the courtyard of SMK Stannia Manggar, Sunday (06/08/2023).
Committee Chairman Suhartono explained that the initial idea for the reunion had been a long time since the Whatsapp (WA) Group was formed. Facebook, there is also a Facebook group for all alumni.
Through WA, from that group, they recruit all friends outside the area to include and accommodate them in one WA group.
"For all Stannia STM alumni to Stannia Vocational High School, then from this group we continued to develop each other, from several friends inviting for a reunion when it was decided to be a grand reunion of all generations," said Suhartono.
Suhartono added, for gathering funds for the reunion there were various generations, so even though it was only the first time, a grand reunion was immediately held. Preparations were carried out briefly for about a week.
"And the donors are also from PT Timah Tbk. The process is actually quite short because at that time we did say to look at PT Timah Tbk," he explained.
They really appreciate PT Timah Tbk for supporting their event. Moreover, PT Timah Tbk is very responsive to their proposals.
