PT Timah Tbk Metallurgical Unit Complex Muntok Represents Babel Participates in Orderly Traffic Village Selection to National Level

WEST BANGKA -- The Muntok Metallurgical Unit PT Timah Tbk Complex was designated as a pilot for the Bangka Belitung Traffic Control Village by the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Traffic Directorate.

Later, PT Timah Tbk's Muntok Metallurgical Unit Complex will represent Babel to take part in an orderly traffic village competition at the national level.

To support this assessment, PT Timah Tbk together with related institutions from the West Bangka Police and the community repaired facilities, installed banners, and painted traffic signs in the area.

West Bangka Police Head of Traffic Unit M Hardi is optimistic and hopes that PT Timah Tbk's Metallurgical Unit Traffic Control Village will become the Champion in the National Level Traffic Control Village competition.

"Seeing PT Timah's support for both facilities and infrastructure and the surrounding community, we are optimistic that the Metallurgical Unit housing complex, which has been declared a Pilot Village for Orderly Traffic in Bangka Belitung, will win the National Level Traffic Orderly Village Competition," he said.

The West Bangka Police Traffic Unit Head appreciates the role and support of PT Timah and its employees, who have fully supported the activities of the Police Traffic Unit.

"PT Timah is very supportive of the Traffic Control Village. We are very grateful to have been assisted with this activity. The Babel Traffic Directorate and the West Bangka Traffic Police have prepared this in advance," he said.

According to him, PT Timah Tbk's Mentok Metallurgical Unit Complex already has ten indicators that are the target of assessment for the Traffic Control Village Program. Such as traffic signs, safe lanes for pedestrians and bicycles, street lighting, road facilities, and infrastructure, agreed upon by residents of settlements, and installation of banners, billboards, and murals about safety.

Not only that, in this area also disappointment of residents of settlements as liaisons and program responsibilities, implementation of socialization on an ongoing basis available child-friendly open public spaces, mini traffic parks, and community involvement in realizing an Orderly Traffic Village.

Deka, a resident of the Metallurgical Unit Complex, said he was proud that his place of residence had been made a candidate for the National Traffic Order Village Competition.

"With the PT Timah Tbk Metallurgical Unit Complex being contested in the National Traffic Control Village, of course, we are also proud, giving a good assessment of our environment in orderly traffic," said Deka.
