CENTRAL BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk is participating in introducing their products at the Pangkalpinang Exhibition Joint Convention (JCP) held by five mining professional organizations at Novotel, Central Bangka, which will be held on Tuesday-Thursday, 24-26 October 2023.

The Pangkalpinang Joint Convention (JCP) carries the theme 'Energy Transitions and Minerals for Environmental Sustainability of Indonesia's Natural Resources', which was initiated by the Indonesian Geological Experts Association (IAGI), the Indonesian Oil and Gas Production Facilities Experts Association (IAFMI), the Indonesian Geophysicists Association (HAGI), the Indonesian Petroleum Engineering Experts Association (IATMI) and the Indonesian Mining Experts Association (Perhapi).

In this exhibition, PT Timah Tbk displays the flow of the company's business processes using various media such as banners and videos. Not only PT Timah Tbk but also PT Timah Tbk's subsidiaries, namely PT Timah Industri and PT Tanjung Alam Jaya.

Apart from that, PT Timah Tbk also introduced various types of rocks containing tin which are part of the exploration process carried out by the company.

This member of the MIND ID Mining Industry holding also introduced products from PT Timah Tbk's partners such as pewter, resam skullcap, batik, eco print, white pepper, and various other products.

Not only that, PT Timah Industri, which is a subsidiary of PT Timah Tbk, also provides tin downstream products such as solder, tin chemical, PVC and others.

The Pangkalpinang Joint Convention participants also seemed enthusiastic about visiting the PT Timah Tbk exhibition booth to see and get to know the tin mineral.

One of the visitors Firman Aulia who came to the PT Timah Tbk stand said they gained new insights after visiting PT Timah Tbk.

"This is new knowledge because we are a little unfamiliar with the tin mining process so we can know the process from upstream to downstream and there are many tin products," he said.

Likewise, Arian Kamandanu said that he was quite interested in the exploration and exploitation process carried out by PT Timah Tbk so that it could provide added value.

"I was most impressed and found out that tin is expensive and Indonesia is rich and I am increasingly proud of the Indonesian people. I also just found out that tin exploitation is in the sea and not only on open land," he said.

Likewise, Karina, a technology student at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), said she was very happy to see various rocks containing tin.

"It's really cool to be able to directly see rocks that contain tin and other minerals and this is cool too," she said. (*)
