SOUTH BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk's Health Car was invaded by residents of Toboali and its surroundings during PT Timah Tbk's Health Week activities at Nek Aji Beach, Toboali, South Bangka, Sunday (13/8/2023).
Since early morning, residents have started lining up to have their health checked at the PT Timah Tbk Health Car which was present at PT Timah Tbk's 47th-anniversary event which carries the theme 'Harmony and Hard Work'.
Residents who take advantage of this free health service range from children to the elderly. They seemed comfortable undergoing medical examinations carried out in this car.
As many as 125 residents had their health checked at the PT Timah Tbk Healthy Car. They are enthusiastic about getting health services.
Not only were the residents joined, PT Timah Tbk HR Director, Togar Pangaribuan, South Bangka Deputy Regent Debby Vita Dewi, South Bangka Prosecutor's Office, Riama Sihite, Babel DPRD Chairperson Erwin Asmadi also had their health checked at PT Timah Tbk's Health Car in this activity.
The presence of PT Timah Tbk's Health Car is considered to have helped improve the quality of public health and bring public health services closer.
Head of the South Bangka DPRD Erwin Suheri said the presence of PT Timah Tbk's Health Car was immediately felt by the community.
"This is very extraordinary, the benefits are immediately felt by the community. Residents can also get free health services from PT Timah Tbk. Thank you for serving the people in South Bangka wholeheartedly," he said.
According to him, the presence of the PT Timah Tbk Healthy Car at the PT Timah Tbk Healthy Week moment is very appropriate. This is because residents not only exercise but can also check their health condition directly.
"This is the right moment to be present in the crowd, the people who come are also lively and enthusiastic. We hope that PT Timah Tbk's Health Car can be present again at various activities," he said.
One of the residents of Jalan Ahmad Yani Toboali, Irlina said that apart from taking part in Zumba together, she also wanted to have her health checked.
"I already know that there is a free medical examination. So, besides wanting to exercise, I want to check my health. Because I often get dizzy, I usually just buy medicine. It turned out that when I was checked, my cholesterol was indeed high," she said.
She said that having the PT Timah Tbk Health Car at this event made him aware of his health condition.
"Usually we are a bit lazy to check our health directly at the health center or to the hospital. But this is because we are here to check our health. So I just found out that I have high cholesterol," she said.
In the same vein, Novianti, a resident of Jalan Prosperity Toboali, said that she originally only intended to take part in the Fun Walk, but saw a free medical examination. She immediately took advantage of this opportunity to check her health.
"I just wanted to go for a healthy walk from home, but when I happened to have a cold, I saw that there was a medical examination. So check your health and the service inside was good. Doctors and medical staff are friendly," she said.
