SOUTH SAWANG -- Health services for the people around the mine are one of the priorities of PT Timah Tbk. Since 2020, PT Timah Tbk has provided free health services through the PT Timah Tbk Health Car.
PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Cars are on three islands in the Company's operational areas: Bangka Island, Belitung Island, and Kundur Island.
This time, PT Timah Tbk Health Car provides health services for the people of South Sawang Village, West Kundur District, Regency located at the South Sawang Village Office, Thursday (27/07/23).
As many as 100 residents of South Sawang Village took advantage of the presence of PT Timah's healthy car in their area.
The Head of South Sawang Village Suyatno appreciated PT Timah Tbk for providing free health services through the Healthy Car program.
"Hopefully with this activity, the community can become healthier so that they can continue to carry out their daily activities. This is one clear proof that PT Timah has concern and concern for the people of Sawang Selatan," he said.
One of the residents, Dollah (75) who works as a fisherman, said he was very happy with this free medical examination activity. Besides being able to help reduce medical expenses, the distance is also close to home.
"With this activity, I can do a health check-up. Apart from that, I can also consult my complaints so far," he said.
In the same vein, Tijah (62), a resident of Mengkuse Hamlet, said she was very happy that there was a free health check-up so that she could have her health checked.
"It's been a long time since I often complained about my body suddenly feeling weak. Hopefully, this activity will get me medicine for the pain I'm experiencing so that I can recover quickly," he said.
According to her, the community was also enthusiastic about participating in PT Timah Tbk's Health Car activity because it was pretty complete.
"We hope that health services like this can continue to be carried out by PT Timah. Hopefully, it can further develop and continue to provide assistance to people in need," she said.
Meanwhile, the Head of West Kundur Sub-District Yusufian appreciated PT Timah Tbk for carrying out social activities for the community.
"Hopefully in the future, PT Timah can continue to help the community so that the existence and contribution of the company can be felt directly by the general public," he said.
