EAST BELITUNG - PT Timah Tbk handed over two wheelchairs to a resident of Baru Village, Manggar District, East Belitung. The wheelchair assistance was handed over directly by PT Timah Tbk HR Director Yennita to the recipients, namely Reva and Halimah, Thursday (9/3/2023).
Reva's grandmother Hadiva was very grateful for the wheelchair assistance from PT Timah Tbk for her grandson. She was touched because someone still cared about her granddaughter.
"Thank God, we received additional food assistance from BUMN volunteers and this time we also received a wheelchair from PT Timah Tbk," said Hadiva.
According to Hadiva, her grandson is 4 years old and has been unable to walk for 2 years, even though when he was 1 year old he could still walk.
"She used to have a high fever, she was 1.5 years old and until now he couldn't walk on her feet," she explained.
Therefore, until now they continue to give their best for the treatment of their grandchildren.
In the same vein, Halimah thanked PT Timah Tbk because she needed the wheelchair to carry out her daily activities.
"I feel happy and relieved to receive this assistance," she said.
She explained that her tailbone shifted so he couldn't walk. It started when she wanted to perform the dawn prayers at the mosque but fell because of a hole.
Even though she said, at that time she did not feel pain, after two weeks she experienced several symptoms and had difficulty standing.
Until now, she continues to struggle to recover by seeking treatment at Muhammad Zein Beltim Hospital and Tanjungpandan Main Hospital.
Meanwhile, New Village Head Husnul Khalik welcomed PT Timah Tbk's assistance, because they had taken various steps to help them.
