SOUTH BANGKA – PT Timah handed over two push lawn machines to the Pasir Putih Village Government, Tukak Sadai District, South Bangka Regency.
This assistance is used to ease and speed up work in cleaning the environment in the village, as well as maintaining existing football sports facilities and infrastructure.
PT Timah Tbk handed over the two machine units directly to the Village Head and Youth Leaders in the yard of the Pasir Putih Village office on Wednesday (18/09/2024).
The Head of Pasir Putih Village, Muhammad Fajar, is grateful for the assistance from members of the mining holding.
"We are very grateful for the assistance of two push lawn machines to our village. "This machine assistance is by what we asked for and our needs," he said.
He said that this cleaning equipment assistance was also used for the needs of the village and also the youth in preserving the environment and arranging sports facilities.
"One of the problems we have had in cleaning this grass is that the existing lawn machine is broken. So, we carry out cleaning activities manually. "Of course, this is not efficient and the results are less neat on the football field," he said.
Fajar explained that one of these machines would be handed over to Karang Taruna while the general public would use the other.
"Previously we didn't know that PT Timah could help with facilities like this lawn machine. We think PT Timah can only help in the social and environmental fields. "We never thought about asking PT Timah for help, but today we were able to receive help," he said. (*)
