One of the community empowerment programs carried out by PT Timah Tbk is in Gunung Muda Village, Belinyu District, Bangka Regency. PT Timah Tbk empowers the Mapur indigenous people.
Not long ago, apart from empowering the Mapur indigenous people by building the Gebong Memarong Traditional Village, PT Timah Tbk also provided assistance to improve public facilities and infrastructure.
In the opening of the Gebong Memarong Traditional Village with PT Timah Tbk, this TINS-coded issuer also handed over three aids to the community in Belinyu District, namely assistance for the construction of the Nurul Ihsan mosque tower in Gunung Muda Village, assistance for structuring the Muslim Public Cemetery area in Air Abik Hamlet, Gunung Village Youth and assistance in the construction of Livable Houses for fire victims in the Bukit Ketok Village.
These three aids were handed over by the HR Director of PT Timah Tbk Yennita, who was also witnessed by the Regent of Bangka, Mulkan at the Gebong Memarong Traditional Village Hall, Tuesday (21/3/2023).
The Regent of Bangka Mulkan appreciates the commitment of PT Timah Tbk which has supported the preservation of adat not only by building facilities and infrastructure but also by preserving its cultural values ??so that they are well maintained.
"Thank you to PT Timah Tbk for supporting and contributing to building facilities and infrastructure. Not only that but also supporting the preservation of the customs of the Mapur people. This is extraordinary, there was only one memarong, and now there are seven marongs," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Gunung Muda Village Herwandi said, PT Timah Tbk had supported the development of indigenous peoples in their village. Apart from that, according to him, PT Timah Tbk also often provides assistance in various aspects.
