PANGKALPINANG – PT Timah Tbk donated 800 grocery packages to 4 Regencies citizens in Bangka Belitung Islands province. Hundreds of grocery packages were distributed gradually to Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Regency, East Bangka Regency, and Belitung Regency since Thursday (16/9/2021).
The grocery packages donation was symbolically handed over by BUMN Ministerial Special Staff Arya Mahendra Sinulingga on his work visit to Bangka Belitung Islands Province from Thursday to Saturday (16-18/9/2021).
These packages act as a form of PT Timah Tbk’s commitment to supporting the local community on the Covid-19 pandemic. PT Timah Tbk has given away thousands of grocery packages to the local community in the company’s operational areas.
The grocery packages distribution was started at Darul Adzkar Institute in Pangkalpinang City, whereas the receivers came from various areas in Pangkalpinang City.
Zamnah, one of Tuatunu’s residents who received the package conveyed how happy she was when she received the package. Because during the Covid-19 pandemic, economic condition is still uncertain. Alas, the grocery packages donation could help them reduce their spending (for their family).
“Alhamdulillah, I could get a package. This could help reduce the economic burden. It’s hard nowadays, where prices for everything keep raising. So, this package is very helpful,” said her after receiving the grocery package.
She hopes in the future, the grocery package distribution could be held more often to help the community. “Hopefully this could happen more often. Not bad for helping a citizen like us,” she said.
On the same page, Maryati mentioned this grocery package donation could help her fulfilling daily needs. “How happy I am to get this package. This could help with my daily meal. Thank you for anyone who gave these grocery packages,” she ended. (**)
